AboutI'm originally from Boston and graduated Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut - I triple majored (lol) in Dance, English, and Theater. Got High Honors in Dance for my full-year undergraduate research thesis (you can watch the choreography here and read the written component here). I've worked professionally at regional theaters, off-Broadway, on tour, in workshops and readings, and have self-produced multiple cabaret shows in NYC.
I'm passionate about work that centers women, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC artists, in terms of the stories told onstage but also in the number of opportunities for employment both onstage and off. Outside of performing, I'm a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, an advanced hand-balancer, and practice contortion. I also like boxing, skiing, kettlebell training, HIIT, all kinds of dance, and soccer, which I played for 15 years. I can talk about lots of things without shutting up including (but not limited to) astrology, crocodiles, biomechanics and mobility, Shakespeare, progressive social justice, potatoes, theatre, RuPaul's Drag Race, reality television, voting, and English linguistics. I live in Bushwick with my two orange boy kittens, Leo and LeBron (Messi and James, respectively). Instagram is my social media of choice... Follow me @winterstormjonas_ ! |
