Tess has been practicing yoga for ten years and holds a 500 hour yoga teaching certification; she completed her teacher training at Lyons Den Power Yoga in NYC. She has taught in studios and gyms, at large outdoor events, for private clients and small groups, in-person and virtually.
Her teaching style is influenced by her background both as artist and athlete, focusing on active, functional mobility and creative self-expression. Her class is challenging and athletic, music-driven and uplifting. Her personal yoga practice is the primary physical foundation for how she works as a performer; she wants her students to discover ways that a consistent movement practice can inform their bodies in other activities off the mat. You can expect to gain strength, flexibility, and confidence when you take her class.
With the Coronavirus Pandemic, Tess has moved all classes to Zoom. These classes are donation-based via Venmo (@tess-jonas).
