Originally from Boston, Tess discovered a love for performing as a small child dancing around her living room to En Vogue. She's a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut where she completed triple majors in Dance, English, and Theater. She was awarded High Honors in Dance for her full year undergraduate research thesis (you can watch the choreography here and read the written component here). She has worked professionally at regional theaters, off-Broadway, on tour, in workshops and readings, and has self-produced multiple cabaret shows in NYC.
Outside of performing, she holds a 500-hour yoga teaching certification (to learn more about taking class with her, click here). She's an advanced handstander and practices contortion. She also enjoys boxing, skiing, kettlebell training, HIIT, all kinds of dance, and soccer, which she played for 15 years. She can talk about lots of things without shutting up including (but not limited to) astrology, crocodiles, biomechanics and mobility, Shakespeare, progressive social justice, potatoes, theatre, RuPaul's Drag Race, reality television, voting, and English linguistics.
